Description
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Journey to medieval Europe with this vibrant tapestry of music arranged for Concert Band. Experience the Crusades through the eyes (and ears) of those there in Walther von der Vogelweide’s “Palastinalied”, the longing for one’s homeland and days long since gone in Heinrich Isaac’s “Innsbruck ich muss dich lassen”, the struggles of love in Guillaume de Machaut’s “Douce dame jolie”, and the joys of spring and summer in a round from England, “Sumer is icumen in”.
These arrangements may be played together, in any order, or individually should you so choose. This piece will be a great addition to any concert!
