Description
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Inspired in part by Bizet’s “Carmen” and Rossini’s overture from “Barber of Seville”, this short and relatively easy tango for string orchestra is a great option for young players to cut their teeth on. This piece features a key change from D Minor to D Major; if time is a factor, performers can take the provided Coda the first time through to avoid the key change entirely. There are also optional piano and shaker parts for added depth.
Grade: 2
Length: 1-2 minutes
